On a daily basis I can become annoyed by stupid little things or my life can quickly come to a crawling pace unless I do the following:
-Make a list (cannot stress this enough or explain what a world of difference having a list makes)
*if you're one of those people who goes to the store and says they forgot what they came for, you need a list
-Prioritize (use that list and break it down in order of most to least important)
*if you clean the house and run out of time to hit the bank before it closes, that's gonna suck.
-Hold yourself accountable (keeping that list and checking the boxes is gratifying and holds you accountable)
-Reward yourself (reward yourself for doing what you had set out to, get that special cup of coffee, eat those cookies)
*but if you don't get the stuff done then figure out why and fix the why
-Let sh!t go (nothing is permanent just remember that)
*I was honked @ this morning as I was backing out of my driveway. I live on a blind hill which has a stop sign over it and the speed limit is 25 mph but I can't see the cars coming and even though this lady was speeding over the hill towards the rear of my car, she honked @ me as if I had cut her off. I could have stayed irritated and that would have "domino effect" my reaction to everything else but I decided not to because I wanted to have a stress-free day damn it! Let other people's anger stay theirs.
-Quit repeating the same things that get you nowhere (if laying in bed at night or in the morning awake while you could and wish you were getting stuff done, then get up!)
-meditate/breathe (I'm not talking lay out a mat, light some candles, and tell everyone to F'off and find alone time, but wherever you are in your day that you find 10 seconds to focus 100% on your breathing IN and OUTs then do it- the toilet is a good place)
*if you can't focus on saying "iiiiiin ooouuutt" ten times, then do it for 20, your body and your mind will thank you
Ok, go get 'em tiger!
