How Your Feelings Drive Your Actions

I heard Jim Carey say something along the lines of "nothing in this world has ever happened without intentions" and I believe it. What are your intentions? What are your intentions based on? What do you want out of life? What do you want for yourself to experience as you make your way through this life?

Did you know that you arrived at the place that you are right now in this moment because of a series of choices you made in life and that those choices were based on feelings that you have had? What would you say is your most felt emotion? Many people live with superficial fear, I say superficial because you are only born with 2 and all the rest are learned. Fear of failure, fear of being broke, fear of losing something or someone, fear of the unknown, fear of being alone, fear of taking a chance. In actuality, fear can become the driving force for many of your life's outcomes. But there is a good kind of fear which can help move you forward in life and help you to take action. Fear of not taking a chance, fear of not giving it a shot, fear of not trying.

There are of course some people who will say that having a certain type of fear will save your life, for example if you are afraid of driving blindfolded, well no that's not fear, that is just common sense. There is also just being cautious which is not a fear. The only 2 types of fear we are born with are the fear of loud sounds and the fear of falling.

How does a person move from a place of emotional fear, anger, negativity, sadness etc.. The first step is recognition of those emotions. There is nothing wrong in feeling any type of emotion, even the crappy ones. In fact you should be able to sit with your emotions and understand where they are coming from. This is emotional intelligence which some say is more important than a high IQ. Being able to feel a certain way and not let it get carried away is also emotional intelligence.

What are you feeling right now? How do you feel? Maybe this post is making you feel driven or inspired and so your next course of action could possibly be something that is positive, imaginative, new, creative, anything that you would enjoy doing. Feelings and emotions drive our actions.

Awareness of how you are feeling is important because then you'll figure out why you are doing what you are doing. How are your feelings serving you? Ask yourself why? Why are you feeling the way you feel?

What can you do to make sure you are making choices based on good emotions? How do you know if what you're feeling is good or bad?  Your emotions are a result of your thinking. Most of your fears are real to you but they are not based on facts, they are just feelings based on the way you are thinking. Does that make sense? You might have a fear of being alone, but it's not because you know you're going to be alone or because you've been alone, because those are either predictions of the future or passed history, both of which don't exist. If you make changes in your life and change the way you think, you open yourself up to new possibilities. One thing is for sure,  you don't stay the same. Change is automatic, progress is not. Change your way of thinking from a place of negativity and fear, to a place of excitement for life and new beginnings.

Yes things might happen that you might not want to happen but things might also happen that you actually have been waiting for to happen. Another great tool to use to make sure you are making choices that will fulfill you are to use your intuition. This is a powerful force that we sometimes neglect but have you ever had an overwhelmingly strong feeling about something that you should be doing and then it turned out that you should have listened to yourself. I know I have.

Which is why I enjoy writing these blog posts so much for you. I feel like I've been through some things and that I have learned things the hard way in order to help others in whatever way possible.

The main point of this post is that feelings are the driving force for your actions. So to come from a place of openness is to experience all that life has to offer. When you stop holding yourself back from doing what you think you should do; when you stop listening to the people saying you can't do something, including that negative self-talk in your head; that will be the moments in which you feel the greatest about your life and the decisions you make. Take responsibility for your life. The thoughts you think manifest into the feelings you experience and are the basis for how you mold your life. Stop asking yourself why everything sucks in your life and start asking what you can do make your life more fulfilling. Go within to find the answers. They aren't out there, they're already inside of you. Ask yourself why you do what you do, why you feel the way you feel and what you can do to make it better.

Thank you all for reading this! Hope it resonates with someone.
