When Can You Start?

I'm just kidding. There is no going back now. You have already began. Let's start with the basics:

Why do you want to be happy and healthy? For yourself? For your children? To live a long, happy, adventurous life? To see your kids grow up? To experience life more? To feel better? Who doesn't want that? Make a list of the reasons why it is important for you to get your life in shape and then keep that list somewhere where you can refer back to it whenever you think you might stray from your journey and need that reminder.

I'm a paper addict! I love notebooks, journals, notepads, sticky notes; I remember as a kid I dreamed of having packs of white printer paper for Christmas. Anyways, I keep a small notebook and I write anything down that I think I might forget, because trust me, I will. I don't know how many times I've thought, I wish I had written that down.

So get something that you will even enjoy writing in or get just a plain piece of paper. Write your motivation(s) down. Keep it in your wallet, taped to your mirror, in your car, your purse. Once you figure out why taking care of your SELF is important, then you will have a better understanding of why you are making these maybe sometimes strange and difficult changes. So let's begin! Today, right now, because that's all there ever really is, is NOW.
