I've asked my very intelligent young daughter to write a blog post for my page today. Giving my tiny brain a little break jahahaha. Here is her article on shifting your fixed mindset:

Do you constantly feel like your mindset is fixed in a negative way? Having trouble properly implementing some kind of transformational change in your life? Losing weight, getting a new job or promotion, improving a negative relationship or any other needed adjustment. There are ways to break your negativity and start thinking positively. To begin with, you have to try to force out any negativity and replace it with positivity. Find the beliefs that are the most supportive and check if these beliefs are able to become a potential reality. To do this, start carefully analyzing your current belief-system. Are these ideas promoting you to push forward and persevere? Are they limiting you? If that is the case, you need a change. Once you've realized what you need to do, make the switch.

Find a role model. Someone to follow, or gain influence from. The one to be your #1 can't be just anyone. It has to be a person you feel you can truly connect with and genuinely understand. A dedicated person to accurately represent you and who you can undoubtedly become. Someone that inspires you that can show you the way. Of course, everyone is different, so you need to modify their mindset to fit to your needs and beliefs. The next step is to evolve the things that are restricting you from being your absolute greatest. You need to shape your mindset by finding a vision or an ultimate goal. You can't just make this shift straightaway; you need somewhere to begin. Start small, with a goal you know you can achieve. For example, if you aim to rekindle a relationship with someone, you can start by giving them a hug or a single compliment. If you want to start working out regularly, start with something minute. One push-up. Once you start, keep going, challenge yourself, and finish big.
Once you can accomplish these things, you are on the road to success, but you also need to protect your new and improved mindset. Make sure to surround yourself with optimistic people with encouraging demeanors. Reinforce your self-esteem with compliments. Don't dwell on the bad, focus on the beneficial things to keep you going. Completely eliminating negative thoughts is probably impossible, but with the right tools you can learn to manage them.
